In 2023, the national railway completed fixed asset investments of 764.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.5%. Thirty-four projects, including the Lijiang-Shangrila Railway and the Guiyang-Nanning High Speed Railway, were completed and put into operation. More than 110 projects, such as the Second Chengdu-Chongqing High Speed Railway, are progressing orderly. Additionally, nine large and medium-sized infrastructure projects, including the Weifang-Suqian High Speed Railway, Shaoyang-Yongzhou High Speed Railway, and Huangtong-Baise Railway, commenced construction. These achievements demonstrate the high-quality and efficient progress in railway construction by CR in 2023, showcasing its effective implementation of the decision and arrangement of the Party Central Committee to build a modern infrastructure system.

　　In 2024, CR plans to continue the high-quality advancement of railway planning and construction, accelerating the establishment of a modern railway infrastructure system. The goal is to put more than 1,000 kilometers of new lines into operation.
